March 24, 2019, one of the saddest days in the history of the New England Patriots franchise. This infamous day is known as the day that former Tight End Rob Gronkowski unofficially retired. According to Gronkowski himself and other sources, his retirement was a result of prioritizing care on multiple injuries he sustained throughout his career. While the famous Tight End announced his retirement from the league, he is still an inactive member of the New England roster. This fact has led many fans of the ball-spiking Tight End to speculate the possibility of his return to the league. While these hopes and speculations have remained quiet, on Sunday, November 17, 2019, however, this all changed.
According to multiple sources and Gronkowski himself, he will be making a ‘big announcement’ on Tuesday, November 19. Many Patriots fans have become hopeful that this ‘big announcement’ would mean his return to the NFL. However, a quote by Gronkowski saying that, “They (Cowboys) could use a tight end like myself’’ has made many Patriots followers very nervous about the possibility of his return. Other outside sources such as Fox News have made announcements that Gronk will not be returning to the league, but will be announcing a ‘Super Bowl Party’ that he will be hosting on the Sunday of Super Bowl 53. Despite all of the rumors and speculation, the fate of Rob Gronkowski’s football career is unknown, and will only be decided at 9:00 am on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. The day Gronkowski plans on making his ‘big announcement’.
