Time is as Fluid as Running Water
Matt Connors
Time is as fluid as running water
The current swiftly pulling you along
Our movement through time is like an otter
Though ours is always an entire life long
Time shapes itself based on situation
Slowly through school, speeding fast through a game
Does water as well, adapt to occasion
Changing its shape and its texture the same
However, they don’t always seem to compare
One is tangible, the other is not,
They may seem the same, but the same they’ll be ne’er
Call them identical, you just cannot
Water and time are alike to each other,
But not enough to be called brothers
